Imagine, if you can, that recent smash hit film Cloverfield and 80’s classic movie ET got married… and had a child. Well, that child is very much alive and he’s called Super 8Super 8 is a collaboration between Director/Writer/Producer of the moment JJ Abrams (Cloverfield and Star Trek) and legendary Director/Writer/Producer Steven Spielberg (ET and Indiana Jones); and something which should be enough to excite the inner child in us all.

This post will be brief as Super 8 opens tomorrow and I really thought I should put these last two trailers for the film up in time, and before reviewing it. I love the fact the trailers show us nothing of the monster, much like Cloverfield‘s promo material, so we all just have to wait and see. Nice work fellas, that’s how trailers should be. So will it live up to the hype? Will the monster frighten us like little children? I’ll let you know.

Despite using some of the same footage, these trailers really do give us a good idea of the two main aspects of the film. Trailer 2 shows us that the story will be told from the children’s perspective, and trailer 3 shows us that the film will contain some epic monster madness.

Enjoy!
