I can’t for the life of me find the words to describe the joy I felt after watching these trailers for the Prometheus trailer yesterday. I think I just sat there with my mouth open for about 30 minutes; then proceeded to run around the office grabbing whoever I could find to come in and watch them with me again. And these are only the trailers for the trailer! (a very clever idea by the way)
Arguably the most anticipated film release of 2012 (yes, I said it!) sees Ridley Scott return to the ‘Alien Universe’ – although we’re still not sure if aliens will feature in any way. I, for one, couldn’t be more excited. I adore Alien and you just know Ridley will give this film everything he has.
In Prometheus ‘a team of explorers find a clue to the origins of man on Earth, leading them on a journey to the darkest corners of the universe. There, they must fight a terrifying battle to save the future of the human race.’
The film has a sensational cast; which includes Noomi Repace, Michael Fassbender, Charlize Theron, Idris Elba, Guy Pearce and Patrick Wilson.
I’ll save the rest of my ramblings for the actual trailer so, in the meantime, sit back and enjoy these two clips. The first really sets the tone for what’s to come and the second offers you a glimpse of just how epic Prometheus will be.
The Prometheus trailer is released tomorrow (Thursday) and the film lands in New Zealand on 7 June, 2012.
