Quentin Dupieux caught my attention last year with the incredibly entertaining but incredibly strange Rubber, a film about a killer tyre with psychic powers. Yes, a killer tyre with psychic powers – who’s name was Robert. Well, Quentin is back and looking to take us on another mind-bending journey in Wrong, the story of man looking for his lost dog.

The story will, of course, be much more than a tale of a missing dog. Perhaps something more akin to an ecstasy-fuelled episode of The Littlest Hobo. It appears our hero will risk losing his mind and identity in his search for his missing pooch. Hold on tight, this will be quite the trip.

Enjoy!

Yep, the trailer’s mental alright. It makes no sense whatsoever. Many will think this is arthouse nonsense, and perhaps they’re right. But I really enjoyed Rubber and will no doubt enjoy getting utterly lost in the madness that is Wrong. Plus, I’ll watch anything that has William Fichtner in it. His turn as the The Accountant in Drive Angry was simply superb, as are all of the quirky characters he often portrays.

Here at Admit One we do love to bring you things that are a little different.

Have you seen Rubber? Do you like your films a little on the strange side? Are you even tempted by this?

Dolph searches for his lost dog, but through encounters with a nympho pizza-delivery girl, a jogging neighbour seeking the absolute, and a mysterious righter of wrongs, he may eventually lose his mind… and his identity.

Written and directed by Quentin Dupieux, the film stars Jack Plotnick, Eric Judor, Alexis Dziena, Steve Little and William Fichtner.

Debuting at Sundance this month, Wrong is likely to get a 2012 release. We’ll keep you posted.
