It seems like not a week goes by without some new Prometheus promo being launched. Many would argue it’s all getting a bit much. And I too admit that I almost don’t want to see any more footage – I’m ready to see the film now.

However, a new 3 minute international trailer has been released. And it’s the best yet. But the greatest thing about this trailer is that it shows us there’s so much more we are yet to discover. Ridley definitely has some tricks left up his sleeve.

If you don’t want to see any more footage and risk being exposed to new spoilers, look away now. Otherwise you should definitely keep reading.

This awesome trailer has a much more sinister edge to it. I got chills. We get to see more of Charlize Theron‘s corporate enforcer, creepy new alien life forms (both dead and alive) and some of the crew suffering what can only be described as excruciating pain.

Enjoy!

I wish I could go to sleep tonight and wake up on June 7. That’s all I really need to say.

People are arguing that this trailer gives too much away (much like the other trailers). But it doesn’t really tell you about the human and corporate motivations behind the mission, the origins of the alien life forms, and the true meaning of the message. All of these things we are yet to discover and Ridley says that this will be the mainstay of the film. Having said that, perhaps this should be the last footage we see…

Awesome trailer hey? Are you glad to discover there’s more to this film than first thought or is it ‘enough already’? Thoughts on the new snake-like creature?

A team of explorers find a clue to the origins of man on Earth, leading them on a journey to the darkest corners of the universe. There, they must fight a terrifying battle to save the future of the human race.

Directed by Ridley Scott, the film’s cast includes: Noomi Repace, Michael Fassbender, Charlize Theron, Idris Elba, Guy Pearce, Patrick Wilson, Logan Marshall-Green, Rafe Spall, Kate Dickie and Sean Harris. New Zealand’s own Weta Digital is involved with the film’s special effects.

Prometheus is released in New Zealand on 7 June, 2012.
