Two new trailers for Disney‘s Wreck-It Ralph have been released, just three weeks apart, and both look to power-up the fun ahead of the film’s holiday season debut.

The brilliant first trailer, which launched in June, introduced us to Ralph (John C. Reilly), the video game bad guy who wants a career change – so he jumps games to become the hero in other titles at the arcade.

These new trailers give us a good idea of how much trouble Ralph gets into trying to play the good guy. We get our first look at the “deadly enemy” Ralph accidentally unleashes (a robotic insectoid menace from ‘Hero’s Duty’) and the danger he puts his ‘Fix-It Felix’ co-workers in – it looks like they might be unplugged… for good!

Can Ralph save the day by becoming the hero he so desperately wants to be?

For us classic arcade fans, the nods continue. Look out for the likes of Frogger and the bartender from Tapper (or Root Beer Tapper as it was called in the arcades – nerd alert!). Here are the trailers:

This film continues to look satisfyingly entertaining. There appears to be a good balance of action and character development – and a wide range of interesting characters. When the action kicks in, it looks fun and varied; from car races in ‘Sugar Rush’ to gunplay in ‘Hero’s Duty’.

I’m really looking forward to this. It makes me want to by an arcade machine – retro, of course! As long as Disney can make it fun for children and adults alike, they should have a hit on their hands.

Is the promo for Wreck-It Ralph pushing your buttons?

Walt Disney Animation Studios and Emmy-winning director Rich Moore take moviegoers on a hilarious, arcade-game-hopping journey in “Wreck-It Ralph.” Ralph (voice of John C. Reilly) is tired of being overshadowed by Fix-It Felix (voice of Jack McBrayer, “30 Rock”), the “good guy” star of their game who always gets to save the day. But after decades doing the same thing and seeing all the glory go to Felix, Ralph decides he’s tired of playing the role of a bad guy.  He takes matters into his own massive hands and sets off on a game-hopping journey across the arcade through every generation of video games to prove he’s got what it takes to be a hero.

On his quest, he meets the tough-as-nails Sergeant Calhoun (voice of Jane Lynch) from the first-person action game Hero’s Duty. But it’s the feisty misfit Vanellope von Schweetz (voice of Sarah Silverman) from the candy-coated cart racing game, Sugar Rush, whose world is threatened when Ralph accidentally unleashes a deadly enemy that threatens the entire arcade.  Will Ralph realize his dream and save the day before it’s too late?

Directed by Rich Moore, the film’s voice talent includes John C. Reilly, Jack McBrayer, Jane Lynch, Sarah Silverman, Brandon T. Jackson, Stefanie Scott, Scott Menville, Skylar Astin, Jamie Elman, George Kotsiopoulos, Gerald C. Rivers and Jack Angel.
