Only two films opening today – both getting the thumbs up from us.

But don’t expect light pieces of cinematic holiday fluff. We’ve an intense French drama about a child protection unit and a doco about Donald Trump ruining the Scottish countryside – so put aside your seasonal cheer… for a couple of hours anyway.
