If you’ve seen the insanely gory red band trailer for The ABC’s of Death, you might think a green band trailer for said film would be a tad PG-13. Well, think again – this is an Ant Timpson production after all.

The new trailer may tone down the gore but it ups the creep factor, and again shows why this film will be a ‘must see’ for horror fans. How could one resist a film with the tagline “26 Directors. 26 Ways to Die”?

Inspired by children’s learning books, and co-produced by New Zealand’s own master of all things incredibly strange, the film tasked both established and upcoming directors with creating a short film about death and the multifarious ways in which it could be dealt. Each was assigned a letter of the alphabet and given 7 months and nearly 3 weeks to complete – in other words 6 months, 6 weeks and 6 days… dun dun dahhhh!!

What this film lacks in plot, it’ll make up for in splatter

Damn this looks creepy… and disturbing. Despite being (relatively) toned down, I think this is the better of the two trailers. It’s the old adage… it’s what you don’t see that’s scary. And it romps along nicely, building the tension throughout – teasing you with the insane death sequences you will bear witness too.

I’ll definitely be seeing this on the largest screen possible. But those of you who are faint of heart, have sensitive sensibilities or just can’t stand this sort of stuff… you should avoid this like the plague.

Are you up for this gore-fest?
