The latest X-Men film invades cinema this week, but it’s an engrossing and (surpisingly) optomistic new doco from Michael Moore that’s our pick.

Where to Invade Next CRR

Michael Moore plays the role of ‘invader’, visiting a host of nations to commandeer policies and ideas that will improve prospects in America. What he finds is that the solutions to America’s most entrenched problems already exist in the world – just waiting to be captured.

Was lucky enough to see this at the Berlinale and thoroughly enjoyed it – I like this new Michael Moore!

Looks a right laugh!

Xmen Apocalypse CRR

Apocalypse, the first and most powerful mutant from Marvel’s X-Men universe, amassed the powers of many other mutants, becoming immortal and invincible. Bigger rarely means better in the movie franchise world. I’m hoping it’s better than it looks.
