While Twilight fans’ appetites will not be sated by the new teaser trailer for Breaking Dawn: Part Two, there’s still eight months and assumedly plenty more trailers until the film’s release. This is just a quick look but I have to say – I find this creepy deer-stalker Bella a lot more interesting than the old one.
I imagine killer baby Renesmee will be in here somewhere, as part one was largely concerned with her inception, but this teaser’s all about Bella and the reactions to her new vampire state. She seems to like herself more, which is the main thing: “After 18 years of being utterly ordinary, I finally found that I could shine”. And by shining she means deer-killing!
Jacob is surprised at how unchanged Bella seems (except that her eyes are red rather than brown and she can run really fast). And her smooth husband Edward is as enamoured with her as ever: “We’re the same temperature now,” he says, making it clear that young monster love can survive all temperatures.
Serious question: Will the baby grow up at super speed?
Directed by Bill Condon and adapted by Melissa Rosenberg from the Stephanie Meyer novel of the same name. Starring Kristen Stewart (Welcome to the Rileys), Robert Pattinson (Remember Me) and Taylor Lautner (Abduction)
The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn – Part 2 will light up theatres throughout New Zealand from 15 November 2012.
