An interesting and varied bunch of films this week. All look quite entertaining but haven’t yet received much critical acclaim. Is there a diamond in the rough?

The leader of an elite anti-terrorist unit clashes with a group of young radicals.
Watched at last year’s NZIFF, this slow-burning social and political drama packs a punch – although its narrative path will divide audiences.

A Pakistani immigrant recalls how his American dream was shattered after the 9/11 terrorist attacks and how the events that followed that day changed his life forever.
Looks an intriguing watch and nice to see Kate Hudson doing something other than a rom-com.

THE HANGOVER PART III

The Wolfpack regroup for their final adventure (for now), where their association with Mr Chow comes back to haunt them and they are forced to return Vegas one last time.
Hopefully this will end the trilogy in style, after a lackluster second film.
