Director:

Spike Lee

Cast:

John David Washington, Adam Driver, Laura Harrier, Topher Grace, Jasper Paakkonen, Corey Hawkins, Ryan Eggold, Michael Joseph Buscemi, Paul Walter Hauser, Ashlie Atkinson

Synopsis:

Ron Stallworth, an African-American police officer from Colorado, successfully managed to infiltrate the local Ku Klux Klan and almost became the head of the local chapter.

Thoughts:

Spike Lee has another hit on his hands. Complex, powerful, and character-driven, like all Lee’s films, but this is quite possibly his most accessible.

John David Washington is an absolute standout as Ron Stallworth, but that’s not to detract from Adam Driver, Laura Harrier and Topher Grace, who are also brilliant in this film.

Rating:

9/10
