Straight from the uber-nerd fest that is Comic Con comes the extended trailer for In Time, the lastest work from acclaimed New Zealand-born director Andrew Niccol (Gattaca, The Truman Show, Lord of War). The trailer looks fantastic and Justin Timberlake (The Social Network) looks every bit the leading man – something I thought I’d never say!

Alongside JT, In Time stars ‘girls of the moment’ Amanda Seyfried (Mama Mia!) and Olivia Wilde (Tron); as well as the always watchable Cillian Murphy (Inception) and John Galecki from one of my favourite TV show’s The Big Bang Theory.

Enjoy!

The mere fact that this is an Andrew Niccol film makes me want to go and see it. The story looks intriguing and the film doesn’t look like it’ll be short of action either – although nothing too O.T.T. (which is a good thing). The trailer gives a little too much away – but what trailer doesn’t these days.

I think In Time will be level above your average sci-fi schlock.

So what did you think of the trailer? Has it changed the way in which you see Justin Timberlake ‘the actor’? What’s your favourite Andrew Niccol film? – a tough one, but I’d have to go with The Truman Show.

When Will Salas is falsely accused of murder, he must figure out a way to bring down a system where time is money — literally — enabling the wealthy to live forever while the poor, like Will, have to beg, borrow, and steal enough minutes to make it through another day.

Written and directed by Andrew Niccol, In Time stars Olivia Wilde, Justin Timberlake, Alex Pettyfer (I am Number Four), Amanda Seyfried, Cillian Murphy, and John Galecki.

In Time strikes New Zealand on 27 October – before it’s scheduled US release of 28 October.
