Lionsgate have released character posters for The Expendables 2 line-up, dubbed ‘The Dirty Dozen’. The other day I commented that The Avengers character posters we’re badass. I take that back. This is what badass looks like.
New to The Expendables lineup of 80s action heros, current action stars, ex-NFL players and mixed martial artists are: a Street Fighter – Jean Claude Van Damme, Thor’s baby brother – Liam Hemsworth, a Chinese arthouse actress – Yu Nan, and the baddest man on the planet – Chuck Norris. Queue the Chuck Norris facts: ‘Chuck Norris died 10 years ago, but the Grim Reaper can’t get up the courage to tell him.’, ‘When the Boogeyman goes to sleep he checks his closet for Chuck Norris.’, ‘Fire escapes were invented to protect fire from Chuck Norris.’, ‘Superman owns a pair of Chuck Norris pajamas.’…
I also noted on the cast list that tennis ace Novak Djokovic is scheduled to make an appearance. I’m sure there’ll be some fan art for him soon, complete with gunmetal grey racquet and exploding tennis balls.
I love these posters. They give you exactly what you want… guns, debris and a wide range of tough guy (and girl) stares.
