It’s a bit of an understatement to say that the Admit One crew are excited about seeing the new Wes Anderson film Moonrise Kingdom. Over the past couple of weeks six short clips from the film have been released, so we’ve compiled them for you to enjoy in all their quirky and whimsical glory.

The clips feature all the film’s leads including Bill Murray, Ed Norton, Tilda Swinton, Bruce Willis, and Frances McDormand. The first clip might well be the opening of the film and sets the tone perfectly for what’s to come. But my favourite, ‘The most important decision in your lives’, features Jason Schwartzman and young stars Kara Hayward and Roman Coppola. It captures the utter delight this film will be; the characters, the swingline, the outfits, the gum chewing… I love it.

Set on an island off the coast of New England in the summer of 1965, Moonrise Kingdom tells the story of two twelve-year-olds who fall in love, make a secret pact, and run away together into the wilderness. As various authorities try to hunt them down, a violent storm is brewing off-shore — and the peaceful island community is turned upside down in more ways than anyone can handle.

Written by Wes Anderson and Roman Coppola, and directed by Wes Anderson, the film stars Bruce Willis, Edward Norton, Tilda Swinton, Bill Murray, Frances McDormand, Jason Schwartzman, Harvey Keitel, Kara Hayward and Jared Gilman.
