There’s no slowing The Avengers juggernaut. Iron Man 3 is already in production and here we have the first shot from the set. We get to see Tony Stark (Robert Downey Jr) in his lab, standing in front of an evolutionary display of his suits. A nice image to get fanboys and fangirls excited for this next film in the series.
Iron Man 3 is being directed by Shane Black (Kiss Kiss Bang Bang). Despite not directing the film Jon Favreau will return as Happy Hogan, alongside series regulars Gwyneth Paltrow and Don Cheadle. An impressive list of new stars has also been added, including villain roles for brilliant Ben Kinglsey (Ghandi) and Guy Pearce (Memento). No plot details have been released, however a release date of early May 2013 is in place. And you never know, us Kiwis might get to see it early like we did with The Avengers.
Downey Jr is brilliant as Stark, so this is one franchise I’m keen to see more of.
