When you think sci-fi in 2012, Prometheus immediately springs to mind. However another upcoming flick that has the sci-fi universe buzzing is Rian Johnson‘s Looper. Starring the evergreen Bruce Willis (Die Hard) and man of the moment Joseph Gordon-Levitt (Inception, The Dark Knight Rises), this tale of time travel and mobsters will explode onto our screens sometime later this year.
In a few days we will get to see the first teaser trailer. However, as is the current trend, a preview clip has been released ahead of the the teaser trailer’s launch – and we have it here for you.
According to the official synopsis: In the futuristic action thriller Looper, time travel will be invented – but it will be illegal and only available on the black market. When the mob wants to get rid of someone, they will send their target 30 years into the past, where a “looper” – a hired gun, like Joe (Gordon-Levitt) – is waiting to mop up. Joe is getting rich and life is good… until the day the mob decides to “close the loop,” sending back Joe’s future self (Willis) for assassination.
Written and directed by Rian Johnson (Brick, The Brothers Bloom), the film stars Emily Blunt, Paul Dano and Jeff Daniels, alongside Willis and Gordon-Levitt.
