“Someone needs to burn this place to the ground.” A teaser trailer for Todd Phillip‘s The Hangover Part III has arrived and the Wolfpack are going out with one hilarious, action-packed, bang.

The trailer is light on plot but we know this latest outing departs from the structure of the first two – no drug-induced mystery to solve here. From the looks of things the events of the previous films come back to haunt the Wolfpack, as they fall foul of another Las Vegas criminal (played by series newbie John Goodman). Speaking of criminals, Chow (Ken Jong) turns up as a cop! – or at least pretends to be one. You know he’s gonna make the best lawman since Eric Cartman in Southpark.

Get ready to revel in more Vegas mayhem, book-ended by vocal stylings of Alan (Zach Galifianakis) and his misadventure with a giraffe – yes, a giraffe!

It’s little more than a series of scenes but you can already tell the series is back on track, after the mediocre second outing. Alan and Chow seem to have more of the focus this time – which can only be a good thing, right? And it looks like Alan is in for some lovin’; with another franchise newbie, Melissa McCarthy (Bridesmaids), playing his… ummm… love interest. What’s the bet that scene steals the show?

I’m really looking forward to The Hangover Part III – the film Part II should have been.

You lovin’ this first look?

This time, there’s no wedding. No bachelor party. What could go wrong, right? But when the Wolfpack hits the road, all bets are off.

Directed by Todd Phillips, the film stars Bradley Cooper, Ed Helms, Zach Galifianakis, Justin Bartha, Ken Jeong, Jamie Chung, Sasha Barrese, Heather Graham, John Goodman, Melissa McCarthy and Mike Tyson.

The road trip begins 23 May.
