A new teaser trailer for Star Trek Into Darkness popped up over the weekend. Like the teaser and trailer before it, this new tease is chock full of action. But this time there’s also some humour to balance the intensity.

There’s plenty of new footage to enjoy here but all the major plot details remain under wraps. The teaser does delve a little more into the sub-plot involving Kirk (Chris Pine). His gung-ho attitude does not seem to fly with his superiors. We also see that Benedict Cumberbatch‘s yet to be revealed villain – for now he remains John Harrison – targets other cities around the globe, not just Starfleet HQ in San Francisco.

(Note: this is a US trailer. We get the film on May 9)

Not sure we needed another tease but, hey, I’ll take it. It’s great they’re continuing to keep the big plot details a secret, although I expect the second full trailer will reveal a few things.

Still loving everything to do with this film and it remains a top of my 2013 ‘must see’ blockbuster list – alongside Iron Man 3.

Still loving all things Into Darkness too?
