Yet another Star Trek Into Darkness trailer has been released – this time a new ‘international trailer’. And it’s the best yet.

Benedict Cumberbatch‘s mysterious villain, John Harrison, owns this new promo – malevolence factor 10. He’s shaping up to be one of the best Star Trek baddies of all time… and one nasty piece of work.

Although they (still) haven’t revealed his true identity and motivation, we now know Harrison was a top Starfleet agent and is seeking revenge on Starfleet, beginning with it’s Commanders – someone call Human Resources!

Speaking of revealed, spot the shot of a semi-naked Alice Eve in the trailer – bet that gets fanboys’ hearts (ahem) racing.

What a brilliant trailer – really gives you a sense of the film’s story arc, the sheer scale of the movie and just how awesome the set pieces are going to be. The Kirk-lead intergalactic manhunt is going to be absolutely epic. And you know J.J. Abrams is still holding a lot back.

Surely they’ll reveal who Cumberbatch really is in the next trailer? – you know there’ll be one.

You could argue this trailer should have been released ages ago – the others feel a bit of waste now. But who am I to argue, my hype meter is off the charts. Nice work J.J..

A reader did raise a good point with the release of the last promo though. Anyone out there wishing this film was more “boldly go” than yet another ‘save the earth’ flick?

Any new thoughts on the Harrison’s true identity?
