Shakespeare on the big screen has been very hit and miss over the years – with more misses than hits. But take a bow Kurzel, Fassbender, Cotillard and Co, you have made an exhilarating epic worthy of “The Bard”. Gorgeous on all fronts, you can’t help but sink into the Scottish King’s mire alongside him, enjoying every minute of his suffering – which sounds terrible, but really isn’t. Trust me.
