Director:

Quentin Tarantino

Cast:

Leonardo DiCaprio, Brad Pitt, Margot Robbie

Synopsis:

TV star Rick Dalton and his longtime stunt double Cliff Booth make their way around an industry they hardly recognize anymore.

Thoughts:

So doesn’t Tarantino’s 9th outing, and his tribute to the old Hollywood, live up to the hype? Yes… and No.

Much more subtle than what you might expect from Quentin, and I loved that. Brad Pitt is an absolute standout and that left me wondering if the film should have been told solely from his perspective, as it was definitely missing something when his character wasn’t on screen.

If you grew up in Los Angeles, in the US even, the nostalgia will resonate much more than it did for me. Having said that, it made me want to watch more from that period to truly appreciate that time more… and that can’t be a bad thing, right?
