Admit One covered the 2012 Academy Awards live via blogThe Artist triumphed on the night, taking three of the four major Oscars – Best Film, Best Director and Best Actor. For us Kiwis, it was great to see local lad Bret McKenzie win for Best Original Song. Other highlights included the Cirque du Soleil performance, Angelina Jolie’s ridiculous leg pose, the subsequent mockery of said pose by The Descendants writers, and the acceptance speeches of Christopher Plummer, Octavia Spencer and Jean Dujardin.

All the winners from the night are posted below.

But enough from us. Hopefully you’ve caught up by now, if you didn’t get to see the awards live, so it’s time for you to tell us what you thought. Who did you think deserved to take an Oscar home? We’re any of the awards a surprise? What were your best and worst moments from the telecast? Let us know.
