Goosebumps on my arm. Shivers down my spine. Yes, I’ve just watched the new teaser trailer for Skyfall. And now you can too – right here!

It’s so good that any doubts I might have had that Bond would recover from Quantum of Solace have just been put to rest… in true 007 style. As we’ve said before, plot details for Skyfall are scarce. But it looks like Bond (Daniel Craig) is in big trouble and might finally have to pay for his actions. M (Judi Dench) is certainly concerned. I have a strong suspicion the silhouetted man at the end of the trailer (who we all recognise as Javier Bardem) is behind it all.

Can Bond still save the day? “Some men are coming to kill us. I’m going to kill them first.” Nicely put, James.

What’s not to love about this teaser? I’m hooked and gagging for more. Craig has lifted his Bond’s already high intensity to a whole new level – he looks ready to kick some ass and take some names! And the action scenes could well be some of the best we’ve ever seen from the franchise.

Part of me doesn’t want to see any more. I’m ready for the film.

Does this look good or what?

In Skyfall, Bond’s loyalty to M is tested as her past comes back to haunt her. As MI6 comes under attack, 007 must track down and destroy the threat, no matter how personal the cost.

Directed by Sam Mendes, the film stars Daniel Craig, Judi Dench, Javier Bardem, Ralph Fiennes, Helen McCrory, Naomie Harris, Ben Whishaw, Albert Finney and Berenice Marlohe.

Skyfall hits New Zealand screens on November 22, 2012.
