Zack Snyder‘s Man of Steel will be released in a year’s time. So far we’ve seen a couple of official images, but no actual footage. However, the Coming Soon crew are currently attending the Licensing Expo in Las Vegas and they’ve discovered this awesome costume display for the film.

The suit for Superman (played by Henry Cavill) we’ve seen before in the official images, but also at the expo are the suits for Superman’s father, Jor-El (played by Russell Crowe), and Faora (played by Antje Traue). In case you don’t know, Faora is a Kryptonian soldier and the wife of General Zod (played by Michael Shannon).

The suits look imposing (even Superman’s) and have a very military-like feel to them. I think we can expect some epic battle scenes in this movie. We won’t have to wait too long to find out, as the first trailer is rumoured to launch at Comic-Con in July.

Here are the best images from the expo:

Are these suits cool or what?

Clark Kent/Kal-El is a young twenty-something journalist who feels alienated by powers beyond anyone’s imagination. Transported to Earth years ago from Krypton, an advanced alien planet, Clark struggles with the ultimate question – Why am I here? Shaped by the values of his adoptive parents Martha and Jonathan Kent, Clark soon discovers that having super abilities means making very difficult decisions. But when the world needs stability the most, it comes under attack. Will his abilities be used to maintain peace or ultimately used to divide and conquer? Clark must become the hero known as “Superman,” not only to shine as the world’s last beacon of hope but to protect the ones he loves.

Directed by Zack Snyder, the film stars Henry Cavill, Amy Adams, Kevin Costner, Russell Crowe, Diane Lane, Michael Shannon, Christopher Meloni, Laurence Fishburne, Antje Traue and Dylan Sprayberry.

Man of Steel flys into our cinemas on June 13, 2013.
