I can’t get enough Star Trek Into Darkness at the moment. The superb teaser trailers and Super Bowl TV Spot had me frothing at the mouth and wanting more. Aside from looking like one of the best Star Trek films ever, my craving for all things Into Darkness is fuelled by a promo campaign that cleverly leaves a lot to the imagination and key questions unanswered – like the identify of the villain. Well played, J.J. Abrams and Paramount.

Some new images from the film have been released. They don’t reveal much either, but complement nicely what’s come before. The pick of the bunch: our yet-to-be-revealed villain (played by Benedict Cumberbatch and currently know as John Harrison) looking pensive while surrounded by Starfleet Officers in red shirts. We all know what wearing a red shirt does for a character’s life expectancy in Star Trek, so I doubt what’s he’s planning bodes well for his captors. Poor chaps, they were doomed the moment they stepped out of wardrobe.
