Ridley & Co sure love to tease us. With the full trailer for Scott’s sci-fi epic Prometheus just days away, a new ‘trailer teaser’ has popped up. It’s the same promo tactic they used to promote the teaser trailer back in December. So can you have too much of a good thing? In this case… hell, no!

This 20 second clip ever so slightly expands a couple of scenes from the teaser trailer but also brings us new footage. If you watch closely you can see a man holding two glowing orbs and then releasing them. What wonderous technology is this? We also get to see what looks like a dust-up between two crew members. What could this mean?

In Prometheus a team of space explorers are sent on a journey to discover the origins of mankind. That’s about all we know. But on March 18 we may well discover a whole lot more. And I, for one, couldn’t be more excited. Is it Sunday yet??

Enjoy!

So what do you think of this new trailer teaser fad? Too much?

A team of explorers find a clue to the origins of man on Earth, leading them on a journey to the darkest corners of the universe. There, they must fight a terrifying battle to save the future of the human race.

Directed by Ridley Scott, the film’s sensational cast includes: Noomi Repace, Michael Fassbender, Charlize Theron, Idris Elba, Guy Pearce, Patrick Wilson, Logan Marshall-Green, Rafe Spall, Kate Dickie and Sean Harris. New Zealand’s own Weta Digital is involved with some of the special effects.

Prometheus is released in New Zealand on 7 June, 2012.
