Director:

Jim Jarmusch

Cast:

Bill Murray, Adam Driver, Tom Waits, Tilda Swinton

Synopsis:

In the sleepy small town of Centerville, something is not quite right. The moon hangs large and low in the sky, the hours of daylight are becoming unpredictable and animals are beginning to exhibit unusual behavior. No one quite knows why. News reports are scary and scientists are concerned.

But no one foresees the strangest and most dangerous repercussion that will soon start plaguing Centerville: THE DEAD DON’T DIE — they rise from their graves and savagely attack and feast on the living — and the citizens of the town must battle for their survival.

Thoughts:

Bill Murray and Adam Driver in a Jim Jarmusch film? That has to be a recipe for success right? I’m devastated to say that it’s not.

The cast certainly aren’t the issue, it’s the script. To add insult to injury, the jokes often fall flat. And for the life of me, I can’t figure out why… or how. I left the cinema frustrated and confused.

The film has its moments, but not nearly enough of them. Sorry to say, but it’s a miss.
